Tips for Cleaning Appliances

Very few people in the world actually enjoy cleaning appliances. However, it’s a job that has to be done in order to keep everything looking and smelling nice. Here are a few tips for cleaning appliances.

The first tip for cleaning appliances that you should follow is to frequently give a light cleaning to the appliances. Any extra food or drink that’s been splashed on an appliance should be cleaned right away. Also, fingerprints and other smudges should be wiped away everyday with a damp cloth or paper towel.

Cleaning appliances once a day will make it much easier on you when you decide to completely clean your appliances.

Inevitably, especially if you have white appliances, you’re going to run into a problem with stains. That leads us to the second tip: How to get rid of stains on your appliances.

A solution that works great on stains is 50% water and 50% hydrogen peroxide. For tougher stains you should put the solution on the spot and let it sit for half an hour. Then go back and scrub with baking soda, if necessary.

Another one of the tips for cleaning appliances involves baking soda too. For smaller appliances, sprinkle baking soda on a wet cloth and scrub. This will clean the appliance well without scratching it.

Finally, for any appliance with rubber seals, such as dishwashers and refrigerators, make sure you clean in between the rubber seal. Food can get stuck in there and begin to smell. Also, don’t ever use anything with a petroleum distillate (like some orange cleaners) on refrigerators and dishwashers because it will break down the rubber.

Most people don’t like cleaning appliances. However, if you use these tips for cleaning appliances then your job will be easier.
